Gifts, Leadership and Staying in Your Lane

For this week’s Daily Deposit, I wanted to share some big takeaways from a recent podcast I recorded with Mario Quezada. We had a great conversation about humility, gifts, and the importance of knowing what we’re good at (and what we’re not).

Here’s what stood out to me:

 • Being entrusted with gifts: Mario talked about how we’re given specific talents, and it’s up to us to use them to serve others. He shared how humility doesn’t mean downplaying our strengths but recognizing they’re given to us for a purpose.

 • Working on your strengths: It’s easy to get burned out when we try to do things we’re not built for. Understanding where your natural strengths lie is key to long-term success—both personally and professionally. Surround yourself with people who compliment your weaknesses.

 • Leading with confidence and humility: A great leader doesn’t try to do it all. They’re confident enough to let others shine in their areas of strength. Mario reminds us that leadership is about building others up and helping them find their place.

If you’d like to hear the full episode, reach out and I’ll send you the link to the podcast and YouTube video.

Keep making those deposits.
